An Honest Review: Humma Humma from ‘Ok Jaanu’

We’re sure all of you have heard the reprised version of A.R. Rahman’s ‘Humma Humma’ featured in the upcoming movie, ‘Ok Jaanu’.

All through the music video both Shraddha and Aditya are seen trying very hard to make the chemistry work – unlike the trailer where the two were so beautifully in sync with each other.

This music video, unlike the first one focuses fully on the two main characters in a bedroom. In the older version of the song, there were many elements with an entire dance sequence and the masti of Manisha Koirala and Arvind Swami completely stealing the show. With our full vision on these two new love birds, there is an added amount of expectation which did not do the song justice.

Shraddha Kapoor might need a few lessons from Shakira or Katrina on how to shake it right, while Aditya Roy Kapoor just could not stop with the hip thrusts – talk about breaking stereotypes! All in all, this 3 minute 15 second song tries very hard to capture the “fun element” that spells out to be a very “wannabe” kind of attitude.

The visuals are stunning – the bedroom set with stunning lights and gorgeously carved furniture and the music too gets us grooving in a second. The downside to the song is Shraddha and Aditya who try and little too hard to be sexy, fun and coordinated (but fail at that too)
