Aamir Khan: Leave Her Alone!

So, we know that Dangal girl Zaira Wasim received severe backlash after her picture of meeting J&K CM went viral on social media. Shortly after doing so, she was hit with several trolls for no apparent reason. Right after the picture was deleted, Zaira posted an open apology letter stating that she is not proud of what she has done.

There are speculations that the natives of J&K aren’t happy with their CM, and posting a picture with a cine-star such as Zaira was merely an attempt by her to earn some brownie points from her people.

While the who’s who of the film fraternity such as Javed Akhtar, Anupam Kher and Swara Bhaskar came out in support of the 16-year-old actor, her on-screen father Aamir Khan had kept mum with regards to this matter, until now.

As of now, Wasim is set to take charge in Aamir’s next, (Secret) Superstar, where she plays a Muslim girl who dawns a burqa to maintain anonymity since her father is against the idea of her pursuing music.
