We reported a few months ago how Aamir Khan was keen to explore the Forrest Gump script and adapt it into the Indian style and star in it as well. It seems the remake is all set to be made and that too with his Secret Superstar director, Advait Chandan. Tom Hanks’ portrayal of an autistic man is regarded one of his best till date, and it’s going to be a monumental task for the actor to match the brilliance of that performance.
It’s still not clear when they’ll bankroll the project but the remake is definitely on the cards for the actor. He’s also working on his dream project, The Mahabharata, which will be a 7-part web series and every series will have a different director. Even though his last release, Thugs Of Hindostan, failed at the box-office, he’s surely moving on with his next films. This news was confirmed by the actor today at the media interaction as he celebrated his 54th birthday with the press!
