Was Priyanka Chopra almost a victim of sexism?

Here’s something that happened with Priyanka Chopra, and the decision that she made will make you applaud for her!

Priyanka Chopra was approached for hosting a particular segment and even delivering a dance performance for a prestigious award show, which was being called the Bollywood Oscars (we wonder why the organizers would say that. We are not even close).

Since its commencement, it has been in the news ever since, primarily for its botchy editing and an incident which took place on the event’s stage, courtesy their hosts.

When approached, PeeCee, who is currently busy with her Hollywood projects, such as A Kid Like Jake wasn’t really enthused to be a part of the show cause of the pay cheque she was offered for the job. What irked her more was that a certain male superstar was being paid way more for just being present at the event. Now, that certainly wasn’t cool. Your guess is as good as ours.

Tipped off (well, presumably), Priyanka chose to do something way better than sitting through a boring show she has been to many times in the past for hours at length, She took off to Maldives with her family. We are sure that she did not miss out on anything, as her vacation pictures are certainly enviable.

On the work front, PeeCee’s next Bollywood project will be Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gusthakiyaan, about which we yet have to learn more.

It’s just unfortunate that certain people are not showing signs of growing out of their mundane (and nearly redundant) mentalities. We hope to see this change soon.
