Black Buck Poaching Case: Salman Khan gets 5 years in jail!

One cannot simply put the grief that the near-and-dear ones of Salman Khan must be facing right now, as the Tiger Zinda Hai star has been sentenced to 5 whole years in jail. For those in need of context even now must be clearly living under a rock. But anyway for the uninitiated, back in 1998, two blackbucks were found dead in a place where Khan and his co-stars from Hum Saath Saath Hai were suspected to have visited. However, Khan and his co-stars pleaded guilty and even exclaimed that they were wrongly accused since due to security reasons, they claimed that they never went out in the open.

But, cut short to today, after perhaps going through all the pieces of evidence in detail, Khan has been sentenced to spend time in the same jail as rape convict Asaram Bapu. As of this writing, presumably, the preparations for the same are being made.

So, although this is indeed a sad news to come across with today, we still can’t help thinking over the manner in which it will affect the entertainment industry. First, this may or may not have an impact on his upcoming flick, Race 3, But what it may leave an impact on are his other projects, such as Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Kick 2, which will now, obviously, take some time to take off.

In addition to this, Khan was also supposed to make his comeback as a game show host with the return of Dus Ka Dum, a show with which the Race 3 actor made his debut on the small screen.

Although it will be hard to quantify the amount of investment that was being planned for these projects, it would, undoubtedly be a sizable one.

We bet that amongst with the stakeholders of future projects which involved him, there would also be multiple distributors who would be (silently) weeping on the verdict that has been passed upon someone who is perhaps their most loved star.

While we weep and sob in our respective places just like Khans’ sisters, be sure that you will still keep getting further updates from us over the ultimate fate of the Bhai of Bollywood.
