Language: Punjabi

Richa Chadha’s production debut Khoon Aali Chithi tells the story of Binder(Manpreet Gill) an innocent 10th grader who resides in a terrorized Punjab of 1990, who’s love letter gets rejected by his crush. Soon, his brother suggests the idea of writing his love letter in blood this time, an idea which begins to grow on Binder. Soon, he lands into some serious trouble just before he is about to deliver his expression of love on a piece of paper to the love of his life. Will he be able to deliver amidst all the storm?
Richa Chadha’s production debut, which is a Rupinder Inderjit directorial, is a no-nonsense tale of unrequited childhood love in a terrorism-struck Punjab. Richa Chadha and Rupinder Inderjit display a Punjab in the most relatable manner for those who have actually seen the dreadful events back in the 1990’s. The emotions are real and candid, with no typical Bollywood drama as a part of its recipe. The whole team behind the film deserves a round of applause!
