Wrestler Geeta Phogat is tying the knot! Guess who is invited?

Geeta Phogat is all set to tie the knot. However, India’s first ever Gold Medal winning female wrestler seems to be more excited about the guest list than the wedding! This is because, her reel-life father is going to attend it! Yes, you guessed that right! None other than AAMIR KHAN will be attending the wedding! Not just the star, National Award winning filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, who is the director of ‘Dangal’ also features in the guest list!

Arjuna Award winner Geeta Phogat’s wedding with Pawan Kumar, is scheduled on 20th November in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri. The 27-year-old expressed to a leading daily, “I spoke to Aamir ji, and he will attend the wedding along with director Nitesh Tiwari. Tayaari bahut achi tarah chal rahi hai. The Sangeet and Mehendi is on 19th November.”

Aamir Khan plays Mahavir Singh Phogat, father of Geeta Phogat in his upcoming sports drama ‘Dangal’. The film deals with the story of how the wrestler takes on a patriarchal society in Haryana and puts his blood and sweat into turning his daughters into world championship winning wrestlers. Fatima Sana Shaikh, who worked as a child artist in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Chachi 420’ is essaying the role of Geeta in ‘Dangal,’ while Sakshi Tanwar plays their mother.
