Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai faces protest in Rajasthan
After Padmavati now Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger Zinda Hai has faced protest in Rajasthan. Protesters belonging to Valmiki Samaj on Friday vandalized posters of Tiger Zinda Hai at a cinema hall in Jodhpur.
The community is aggrieved over the alleged use of pejorative language by Salman, and by Shilpa Shetty in the reality show Super Dancer.
The actors used the word ‘bhangi’ in separate TV shows which clearly insults the entire Valmiki community of the world.
Salman had used the word during the promotion of his film Tiger Zinda Hai while referring to his dancing skills. Shilpa had reportedly used the word to describe how she looks at home.
Lalu Balmiki, the president of the group said “Salman Khan has uttered a derogatory word against the Balmiki Samaj and it is really condemnable. The Bollywood actor should publically apologize for this otherwise an FIR will be lodged against him,”
The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has issued a notice after it received a complaint from an ex-chairman of the Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Harnam Singh.
On the other hand, Tiger Zinda Hai has received a great response at the box office and is touted to break many records.
