Ranveer Singh is on a roll. After delivering his first 300-crore blockbuster with Padmaavat in January 2018, he ended the year with a Bang as well. Simmba, his latest outing and offering, is all set to enter the 200-crore club, given the breathtaking pace with which is continuing its run at the ticket windows. Not only that, it has now beaten Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai as well. How? You may ask! Well, given it’s a holiday on the first day of the year, a big Hindi film is likely to bring big bucks. And Simmba has raked in more than that action potboiler did.

While the Salman-Katrina starrer collected over 18 crores on January 1, 2018, The Rohit Shetty directorial raked in a massive 28.19 crores. Now that’s quite a massive achievement.
