Did Fatima bag Aamir’s next due to low pay?

Not Aamir, but the amount on the paycheck made Fatima Sana Sheikh bag the role! Read it all here

It had been reported earlier that the shooting of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s next Thugs Of Hindostan had been stalled due to their inability to zero down on a face for a female lead. Just when the news had started making rounds, the filmmakers released a statement that the Dangal girl Fatima Sana Sheikh had signed on the dotted line.

A lot of names had been approached for the female lead, and all of them had turned the script down. The part was being speculated to not be meaty enough to entice the actresses to get on board. But from what we hear, the reason had to do more with the size of the paycheck.

Here’s what a source has to say “Nobody was surprised when Fatima Sana Sheikh was signed opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs Of Hindostan. While a few top actresses including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and even Vaani Kapoor were in talks to do the film, most of them, save Vaani, weren’t so keen once they heard the fee for the film, especially when Aamir was being given his market price and more. The actresses had loved the script as it revolved around the female protagonist taking revenge but the talks fizzled out when they realized that Aditya Chopra wanted them to sign the film almost for free. There was a discussion whether Vaani or Fatima suited the role better — the latter was Aamir’s choice and the former Adi’s. Eventually, Aamir had his way,”

Wait a minute, if the film is going to be as large as S.S Rajamouli’s Baahubali film franchise in terms of scale and budget and the storyline revolves around the female lead, so WHY is the female lead probably being paid the least?

We had heard that Ramya Krishna, who played a crucial character of Sivagami in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was paid 2.5 crores while the Baahubali himself, Prabhas was paid 25 crores, literally 10 times more than the female lead! Why is that?

This surely calls for some justification from the filmmakers!
