Heads or tails, Aamir Khan always wins!

The ‘Dangal’ star has always been known for breaking box office records with his super-hit, handpicked movies! Be it, Dhoom 3 (Rs. 284 crore), 3 Idiots (Rs. 202 crore) or Ghajini (Rs. 114 crore), Aamir has been ruling the box office with every film he opts to do.

His December release also had very similar effects on the box office! ‘Dangal’ featuring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra is now the highest grossing Bollywood film with a whopping Box office collection of Rs. 349.65 crores! With such crazy profits, the production houses are definitely ecstatic!

Dangal was produced under Walt Disney Pictures as well as Aamir Khan Productions. Even though the film is made under both these labels, our Khabri Keeda tells us that the profits aren’t distributed to both the production houses equally.

Before Aamir Khan Productions could collaborate for ‘Dangal, the two production houses made ‘PK’ together, which was a super hit too! KK tells us that profits for that film were split between AKP and Disney in an 80:20 ratio with a larger portion given to AKP. Similarly, ‘Dangal’ too was split between the two media houses, but this time the split was in a 90:10 ratio.

Now, with Dangal almost at the 350 crore mark, the 10% profit for Disney was an easy earn!
