Zaira Wasim to get protection from the state government!
In a statement, union minister Jitendra Singh revealed that the J&K government is keeping close tabs on the Zaira Wasim controversy, and if the situation calls for it, she will be provided protection by the state government. The union minister rightly said that the youth of the country who bring in laurels through their talent and commitment in their work must be appreciated and encouraged.
“Youngsters in any part of the country, and especially in Jammu & Kashmir who have grown under the shadow of terrorism, and if the youngsters express their talent it becomes the duty of the society to encourage and appreciate them,” he said.
A recap for all: Zaira Wasim had risen to fame after playing jr. Geeta Phogat in the movie “Dangal”, after which she met J&K Chief Minister Mehooba Mufti, for which she was severely trolled on social media. She shortly after deleted the picture of her posing with J&K Chief Minister and posted an apology letter, which was also soon taken off. She undoubtedly had the support for all, and even her on-screen father/guru, Aamir Khan, who tweeted that the trollers must back off. She later posted that she must not blow the issue out of proportion, which was also taken off social media soon.
Wasim is gearing up for her role of a Muslim girl who wants to pursue music against the wishes of her father in Aamir Khan’s next titled, (Secret) Superstar.
