THUGS OF HINDOSTAN: Exhibitors demand a refund from YRF after the film’s failure!

The failure of Thugs Of Hindostan has shocked many, particularly the fans who had sky-high expectations from this action-adventure drama. But the people who have received the biggest setback are the exhibitors of the cinemas across the country. Since Yash Raj Films distribute their own films, this period drama may not be a losing proposition for them, but for the exhibitors, it has proven to be a nightmare. There’s hardly any territory where the film hasn’t entailed losses.

A trade source spoke, “We had lost a similar amount on Tubelight as well, however Salman Khan refunded us the money. We plan to approach our territory distributors to claim refund because we know that they have made ample monies from this film due to the minimum guarantee contracts. We hope our message reaches out to Aamir Khan and YRF, who will help us get back our money from the territory distributors.”
