Maybe it might not be apparent to all, but it seems like playing grey or full-fledged dark characters is the latest thing in B-Town and what somewhat confirms the same for us is the convincing and the menacing act that we saw Ranveer Singh put up as the evil Alauddin Khilji quite recently and the reports that Salman Khan, for the first time in his career, will be essaying a human being who is not all that good and jolly in the upcoming Remo D’Souza directorial, Race 3.
But now, it seems like the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan will also be seen in a similar avatar in his currently-in-production venture, Thugs Of Hindostan.
Why do we think so? Well, the man spilled the beans himself!
In a recent interaction with the media, Aamir shared that, “I’m playing a character who cannot be trusted at all – [so it’s the] very opposite of Dangal … He’s a very slippery character. He has no scruples at all – for money he can sell his mother out. He’s like that.”
But, he added that, ”But [the character] is a very entertaining guy. So it’s a very entertaining kind of a film. No message this time. Just have a good time.”
Thugs Of Hindostan, the Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial, is based on the book called Confessions Of A Thug by Philip Meadows Taylor. A majority of the stories in the book in question are in first person, the narrator of which is a certain Amir Ali. So, we guess we know what is Aamir really up to in the flick.
