Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have been accused of cheating!
OMG! A textile owner from Bhiwandi has accused the couple of duping him of 24 lacs!
Bollywood’s babe Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra have found themselves knee deep in another controversy. Ravi Bhalotia, a textile owner from Bhiwandi has filed an FIR against Shilpa and Raj accusing the company the couple is associated of duping him of Rs. 24 lac.
Along with Raj and Shilpa, three other directors of the online shopping TV show, ‘BEST DEAL’ namely Uday Kothari, Durshit Indravan Shah and Vedant Bali have been accused of cheating Bhalotia. Bhalotia sold bedsheets through the TV show.
An officer at the police station explained the matter and said, “Mr. Bhalotia has alleged that between July 2015 and March 2016, Bhalotia Exports provided bed sheets and pillow covers to Best Deal TV. When the latter failed to pay the money, despite repeated follow ups by Bhalotia Exports, Mr. Bhalotia stopped supplying the goods. However, in July 2016, a new agreement was signed, with a promise to pay the pending dues at the earliest. When there was still no payment, Mr. Bhalotia stopped the supply in August 2016”
Raj Kundra commented on the issue saying, “The vendor is misusing his connections in various stations. This is a civil matter and an abuse of the law. We have tight contracts signed and on the contrary, the vendor owes us money for not fulfilling orders. Best deal company is, unfortunately, being wound up due to the business failing and we are following the laws of the land to close the various matters properly. It’s sad that at every step of the way my wife’s name is dragged in to create media hype. She was a non-executive, who had nothing to do with the daily running of the business.”
According to sources Raj resigned from the company in December 2015 and has rubbished the claims.
