Manikarnika: Kangana Ranaut rubbishes reports of the producer getting sacked!
Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been in the news for the past few months. First, it was about Kangana stepping in the shoes of her director Krish as he got busy with his other south movie, and then came the news of Sonu Sood exiting the project. Now the latest news surrounding the movie was the Zee Studios business head, Sujoy Kutty getting sacked for going ahead with Manikarnika and the increasing budget.
When asked about the authenticity of the news, Kangana was quoted saying to a leading daily, “Sujoy left a few months ago and Manikarnika is Zee’s project. We are currently filming Manikarnika’s introduction in Naigaon in a valley.” She further added, “Why would Zee sack CEO and keep the project? They can easily sell the project rather than sacking the employee. There is no logic to these nasty stories.”
She finally concluded, “Like I said they can easily sell or release the film, they are a network themselves they can also have channels across the globe but they want to release a terrific project that’s why we are still filming. Yes, their CEO got replaced but has nothing to do with a film I think it was something internal.”
Helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Manikarnika is slated to release on January 25, 2019 if there is no further delay. The film will clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray and Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India.
