Is Rajkumar Hirani directing Mogul after Subhash Kapoor’s exit?

Mogul, the biopic on the late Gulshan Kumar, is getting more and more in the headlines these days. First Aamir Khan decided to distance himself from the film owing to the sexual harassment charges against the director Subhash Kapoor. He later joined the film again after the director was removed. And now, it seems that Aamir is likely to be directed by someone who has already directed him twice in blockbusters like 3 idiots and PK. Yes, we are talking about Rajkumar Hirani.

A source stated, “Mr. Hirani read the script and loved it. He is contemplating it. Aamir has also told him to think about it. Since they both share a great rapport, there is a possibility that he will step into the director’s shoes. But as of now, nothing is confirmed.”

Given nothing about the film is clear and clarified, it’s unlikely the makers will be able to release the film next year by Christmas. Let’s see what lies in the fate of this much-awaited biopic which has already gone through a roller-coaster ride!
