Fatima Shaikh to star in Thugs of Hindostan

Thugs of Hindostan starring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan is bound to be a hit. With two of Bollywood’s best actors, Producer Aditya Chopra was still facing massive trouble in commencing with the shoot.

Since its inception, the only problem Thugs of Hindostan hadn’t been able to tackle is that of the leading lady. Actresses like Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sara Ali Khan, and Alia Bhatt were a few names that were linked with the film. Now, finally the makers of the film have chosen one of the above mentioned names.

While many web portals are reporting that the film is on hold, we have some inside news for you. Fatima Sana Shaikh has been selected for the role and will share the screen with legends Aamir and Amitabh. Fatima, who had made an impressive debut with Dangal has finally bagged this star-studded film!

Thugs of Hindostan will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. This is the second time Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will be directing Aamir Khan after the blockbuster Dhoom 3. Thugs of Hindostan unites Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan onscreen for the first time and promises to be a larger than life, grand cinematic experience.

Writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya confirmed the news saying, “The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film.”
