Aamir Khan turns singer for Secret Superstar!

As we already know that Aamir Khan is essaying the role of a singer in Secret Superstar. It tells the story of a young aspiring musician Insu (Played by the Dangal Girl Zaira Wasim) who dawns a Burqa to showcase her talent on YouTube, against the wishes of her father.

What we understand from the trailer, Aamir Khan seems to have discovered her through YouTube. Wait, doesn’t this remind you of how Justin Bieber shot to fame?

Anyway, the word on the street is that Aamir Khan will be heard singing for Secret Superstar, too! A source close to the affair stated “Aamir Khan might lend his voice for a song in Secret Superstar. However, things are in the preliminary stage, and nothing has been confirmed yet. If he agrees, the song will be recorded in the next couple of months.”

Secret Superstar marks the directorial debut of Advait Chandan. Advait previously worked as an assistant director in films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd and Kiran Rao’s directorial debut, Dhobi Ghat.

The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao and also stars Meher Vij and Raj Arjun in supporting roles. Secret Superstar is set to hit the silver screen on 4th August and will reportedly clash with Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi which is directed by Omung Kumar and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Shekhar Suman in key roles.
