Two of the film industry’s biggest names come together to create an epic movie!

We bet that movie buffs would have asked this question at least once in their lives: What if the Perfectionist Aamir Khan and Thaliava Rajnikanth happened to be in a movie together? As Shah Rukh Khan said in Om Shanti Om: ”Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai”
Guess it applies to all of us as of now, right? The buzz around town is that filmmaker SS Rajamouli is cooking an epic trilogy based on the tale of Mahabharata. And he is planning to carry out what could be the biggest casting coup ever done by a filmmaker, as he has his eyes on Aamir Khan, Rajnikanth and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for his pivotal characters. We are guessing they are Krishna (obviously), Arjun and Bhima. But the Baahubali filmmaker is yet to decide which characters will be played by the powerful three of the Indian film industry.
A leading daily states, “Rajamouli is currently busy with Baahubali 2, but he is thrilled about Mahabharat. He wants to take Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal on board for this project. He is yet to decide on the characters these stars will portray.”
Reportedly, the trilogy will have a budget of a total of 400 crores and will be shot simultaneously in Hindi, Malayalam and Telegu. Rajamouli was initially skeptical about making the film with the superstars, as it requires their undivided attention. But now after the Baahubali series, he has a sense of conviction that the superstars will not mind giving their precious time to the project in question.
“I am a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharata, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna.” expressed Aamir Khan at an event.
It seems like the only thing a die-hard movie buff is waiting for is an official announcement.
Keep your fingers crossed, fellas!
