4 reasons why Veere Di Wedding is a Kareena Kapoor Khan show!

One of the most anticipated films of the year, Veere Di Wedding has finally begun taking the audience by storm and it’s power-packed star cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania along with the stellar group of masterminds behind this presentation are to be given the credit for it.

But, to us at least, the show-stealer in this Shashanka Ghosh directorial is its leading Veera, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and not just for the fact that she’s a performer par excellence and her character (Kalindi Puri) is as relatable as it gets. Our reasons go way beyond that!

• Kareena Kapoor Khan – An inspiration to all

It’s a common saying that once an actress becomes a mom, her career is nearly done and it becomes difficult to get quality work after that, should one still get them. But, can you say that about Kareena? With this film, she has single-handedly broken the stereotype by playing an urban woman who takes charge of her own life and deals with uncertainties like a boss. Hats off, Bebo!

• Spontaneity at its best!

Clearly, one of the highlights of Veere Di Wedding is its titular Veera, Kareena Kapoor Khan. Sure, she’s an amazing actor and all, but we believe that it’s not the only factor that made Bebo’s Kalindi Puri the lifeline of the film. There were quite a few of such antics by Kareena that we believe were hard to script. More than an actor, her choice to be spontaneous with Kalindi talks a lot about her. She clearly likes to let herself go and not simply blindly follow the script. Respect!

• When Kareena played herself!

It’s a known fact that Kareena is always there for whosoever needs her in her girl gang, which is a trait that she brought to Kalindi as her as Miss Puri was observed to be the strongest supporter of her group. Additionally, her chemistry with High Jack star Sumeet Vyas also came across as effortless, as if she was imagining Saif Ali Khan in his place.

• A one of a kind beauty!

It’s still hard to imagine that Kareena is a mom and, while we are writing this, we just realised that Bebo here broke a yet another stereotype! With VDW, she has indeed made a point that a woman can look at her mesmerising best even after becoming a mother fairly recently. VDW will leave you swooning over Kareena for sure. Clearly, all of those gruelling workout sessions post her pregnancy to get into the Kalindi Puri shape paid off, which is yet another testament to her level of professionalism and commitment towards her work.
