The teaser of Salman Khan’s Bharat is all set to release on January 26, on the eve of the 70th Republic Day. We all are aware about the film’s theme by now, and also how Khan will tackle one of the most complex and challenging characters of his career so far. But this period drama, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, isn’t only about its leading man. It boasts off an ensemble cast that should have equally meaty roles, if not more. The teaser is over 87 seconds long, and here are the five things you can expect from it:-
1. Katrina Kaif
We start the list with Kaif as she’s playing a role that’s as crucial as that of the leading man. She, mercifully, isn’t playing Khan’s love interest who solely exists to break into romantic interludes and dance numbers. Since the film is high on drama and emotions, she plays a character drastically different from what she has essayed before. She plays Bhai’s boss. And we hope to see her in the teaser!
2. Some Never-Seen-Before Stunts
One aspect of the period drama is the action, but not the kind we usually see in a Salman film! This is rooted more in reality and rawness. Khan will be seen performing a daredevil bike stunt that’s performed by highly trained artists. This is possibly one of the circus sequences where Disha Patani plays a trapeze artist. Will we get a glimpse of it in the teaser? Let’s hope so!
3. The Salman-Katrina Chemistry
As mentioned above, the lead pair won’t be romancing each other as much as they have earlier, a picture of the film went viral on the Internet where they both can be seen in love. Their chemistry was one of the highlights of their last film together, Tiger Zinda Hai, it shall be interesting to see how different their Jodi is this time around!
4. The Indo-Pak Angle
Because this is a film set against the backdrop of the Partition, the makers re-created the Wagah Border in Punjab where Khan and Kaif even shot a crucial sequence. And this is one subject that always has found huge acceptance from the audience. Hopefully, we should have a fleeting encounter of the theme in the teaser.
5. Salman Khan
And of course, when you have Salman as your leading man, anything else hardly matters. The film starts with he being at the age of 17 and ends when he has turned 72. The makers may not reveal all of his looks in the teaser itself but let’s be prepared to see him in a never-seen-before avatar.
