2.0, Race 3, Padmavati: Top movies which have already excited us for 2018
2017 has almost come to an end. Though this year was not so good for Bollywood in terms of Box office we saw some good content-driven films. 2018 is also filled with many big and good movies.
Here’s a list of 2018 movies which we are excited for:
Padmavati
Padmavati is based on the ruthless Alauddin Khilji, played by Ranveer Singh, and his attempt to capture the beautiful Rani Padmini of Chittor played by Deepika Padukone. Shahid Kapoor will be seen as Maharawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
Padman
Starring Akshay Kumar Padman is a biopic based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented low-cost sanitary pads and fought for menstrual hygiene. Helmed by R. Balki, ‘Padman’ also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.
Anushka Sharma starrer Pari is a love story, encrusted with a mysterious feel. Anushka is paired opposite Parambrata Chatterjee of Kahaani fame.
Raid
In Raid, Ajay Devgn will be seen portraying the character of an Income Tax Officer. Set in Uttar Pradesh in the 1980s, the film is inspired from the real-life events involving one of the most high-profile income tax raids ever.
Raazi
Raazi is set against the backdrop of the 1971 war. Alia Bhatt will be playing a Kashmiri girl, who is married to an army officer across the border, played by Vicky Kaushal.
Sanjay Dutt Biopic
The film is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen slipping into Sanju Baba’s shoes. The untitled biopic seems very intriguing, as it will be the first biopic, made on a Bollywood star. The film hit the screens on 30th March.
October
Shoojit Sircar‘s October starring Varun Dhawan is a story of love story about one character. The film also stars Banita Sandhu, as the female lead.

2.0 is a sci-fi adventure in which Rajinikanth will be seen reprising the role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti while Akshay Kumar will be seen playing an evil badass scientist, Dr. Richard.
Baaghi 2
Baaghi 2 starring Tiger Shroff is the sequel to 2016 hit Baaghi. Tiger will be seen romancing his rumored girlfriend Disha Patani in the film.
Manikarnika
Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Veere Di Wedding
Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Swara Bhaskar‘s Veere Di Wedding is based on the story of four friends and their journey of self-discovery. The chick flick is adapted from the Hollywood drama, The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. The film stars
Fanney Khan
Fanney Khan is a musical-drama and will showcase the lead actors in very distinct avatars. Anil Kapoor will be seen playing the titular character of a father to a struggling singer. While Aishwarya will be seen in the avatar of a charismatic singer who will win hearts with her positivity and freshness.
Race 3
Race 3 is the third instalment of Race franchise and stars Salman Khan. It will be directed by Remo D’souza and is a joint production of the Salman Khan-owned SKF and Tips.
Gold
Gold starring Akshay Kumar is a historical sports drama which will showcase the journey of India winning its 1st gold medal as a free nation in the Olympics, 1948.
Thugs Of Hindostan
Thugs Of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who previously helmed Dhoom 3. The film revolves around the story of the thugs who murder travelers and loot their money and valuables! The film stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Simmba
Simmba starring Ranveer Singh is the official remake of Jr NTR’s South film – Temper. Ranveer will be seen playing a corrupt cop who changes his ways after falling in love with a beautiful yet simple girl.
Dwarf Film
In this untitled film, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a dwarf. The film will also star Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
