5 Bollywood Films to look forward to in 2019!
2018 was a surprisingly effective and efficient year for Hindi Films. The success ratio rose by over 40% as compared to 2017 and content overpowered commerce. 2019 promises to be equally awaited and ambitious. Let’s have a look at the 5 Bollywood Films to look forward to in 2019:-
1. Super 30
Hrithik Roshan returns to the big screen after a gap of two years. The film that has already gone through multiple ups and downs finally makes its way on the celluloid in January. However, that release date too hangs in the balance. But we are assured it will certainly come out in 2019 and be worth looking forward to!
2. Bharat
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back to entertain us but this time with a difference! Unlike their earlier collaborations that were western and flashy, this time they find themselves in a period drama. And the director who has had some massive blockbusters with both Khan and Kaif, Ali Abbas Zafar, has a chance to redeem their careers, especially after Race 3 and Thugs Of Hindostan. Plus, it’s Bhai like never before that too on EID!!!
3. Saare Jahaan Se Accha
This is one film that should be able to come out in 2019! A biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma that stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, it’s a film that depicts a story that deserves to be told to the entire universe. What went behind the journey of India’s first man on the moon? We’ll have our answers, hopefully next year.
4. Brahmastra
Two types of people will watch this film- Ones that are interested and excited to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on the big screen for the first time. The second would be those who have a strong appetite for the Sci-Fi genre. Ayan Mukerji as a filmmaker understands the youth and what cinema it’ll savor, and given the drought of the genre in India, this could be a game-changer, if not a money-spinner. Made in three parts, the first one comes out on Christmas 2019!
5. Mogul
No film in recent times has gone through as many ups and downs as this one. A biopic on the late Gulshan Kumar, it was supposed to star Akshay Kumar in the lead and directed by Subhash Kapoor. Kumar quit the film due to creative differences and Kapoor was ousted owning to sexual harassment’s allegations. Now Aamir Khan has come on board as the co-producer and he may act in it too! We can’t wait for an official announcement.
OTHER PROMISING NAMES- Gully Boy, Kalank, Good News, Mission Mangal, YRF’s untitled, ABCD 3 and Kick 2.
