After saying NO to awards, Aamir Khan to FINALLY attend an award ceremony!
Bollywood’s Mr. Perfect, Aamir Khan has always stayed away from award functions. When asked about the reason earlier, the actor was quoted saying. “Fact is that I have no objections to film awards per se. I just feel that if I don’t value a particular film award, then I won’t attend it either. Apart from the national award, I don’t see any other award ceremony that I should give value to. My personal experience with these award ceremonies is that I don’t trust them. I have no faith in them so I would prefer to stay away.”
But this event seems to be an exception as Aamir will be attending it and that too as the chief guest! It’s the 5th edition of the Indian Screenwriters Conference (ISC). This much-awaited biennial event is organized by the Screenwriters Association which will be held from August 1 to 3 at the St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra in Mumbai.
The theme of the conference this year is ‘Where Mind Is Without Fear’ and it will focus on the challenges faced by Indian screenwriters today. It will see a large number of screenwriters and established professionals from the film and TV industry, as well as the digital media. The event awaits some insightful sessions and discussions for the participants.
