It’s official: ‘Krrish 4’ to go on floors soon!
After being inspired from a life-size idol of Lord Ganesha as India’s favourite superhero, ‘Krrish’, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has decided to revive his super successful franchise. Hritikh Roshan took to Twitter to make the big announcement, “Ganpati blessings for KRRISH4 :)) hope everyone is enjoying the festivities. Love to all.” He also tweeted an endearing image of Lord Ganesha dressed as ‘Krrish’ which was trending all over social media.
Speaking on the announcement, Rakesh Roshan said, “When my wife showed me a tweet with Bappa’s picture as ‘Krrish’, it reaffirmed my belief that ‘Krrish’ is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment.”
He added, “Ganesha is also called the god of auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4.” The Senior Roshan already has an idea for the movie, which he will be working on. The movie is slated to go on floors early next year and will be released during Christmas 2018.
This means that the film will clash with Shahrukh Khan and Aanand L Rai’s film, in which SRK will be playing the role of a dwarf. This would the second time Hrithik and SRK are releasing their films on the same day after both their films ‘Raees’ and ‘Kabil’ are releasing on republic day 2017. This has also given fuel to rumours regarding a rift between these two superstars.
