Hrithik Roshan, who made the biggest debut of all time with his father Rakesh Roshan’s directorial Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai in 2000, and also became India’s first Superhero with Krrish and Krrish 3 under his father only, isn’t really keen to see him directing the fourth film in the franchise. Shocked?
Well, insiders suggest that Sanjay Gupta, who directed him in 2017’s thriller Kaabil, is Roshan’s choice. But if you remember, Netflix was set to sue Gupta and the makers over plagiarism charges as the promos of the film were quite similar to their original production, Daredevil. Despite such allegations, it’s quite surprising that Hrithik wants Sanjay to be at the director’s seat this time. A source says, “Gudduji (Rakesh Roshan) actually got court cases for Kaabil regarding copyright which is directed by Sanjay Gupta. So it’s rather strange that Hrithik is actually backing Sanjay to direct Krrish 4 and has also suggested his father Rakesh Roshan to let younger hands take over the reins.”
After a monstrous debut, Hrithik had a string of seven flops and was at the ebb of his career. It was Rakesh Roshan, who helped him rise like a Phoenix again with the Sci-Fi drama, Koi… Mil Gaya, in 2003. We hope Roshan’s daddy dearest only helms Krrish 4 and no one else. The film is slated to release on Christmas 2020.
