For all the kids from the era of the 80’s and the 90’s, probably the first ever superhero they came across was Mukesh Khanna’s Gangadhar aka Shaktimaan. One will not forget that Shaktimaan, apart from giving us kids the best possible form of entertainment available at the time, also dropped a few life lessons here and there. So, maybe we had a reboot of sorts coming, but we never imagined that we would see this piece of news.
So, reportedly, Bollywood’s Khilji, Ranveer Singh has signed a 3-film deal to step into Mukesh Khanna’s shoes as the vigilante in red and yellow in the reboot trilogy for the iconic Shaktimaan.
How do we know that? Well, Comic Com India just tweeted it out a few hours ago.
Check it out right here:
However, we fully understand what the day is today (If you don’t know, please bury yourselves!). So, that does make us ask a question: Is Ranveer Singh going to redefine cool or is he making us an April Fool?
We guess we will know soon.
On the work front, Singh, while presumably still basking in the success of Padmaavat, is tied up with the shoot schedules of Gully Boy, post which he will reportedly move on to the sets of Simmba and thereafter that of Kabir Khan’s ’83. By just observing his schedule, we are bending more towards the opinion that Singh is trying to prank us all.
What’s your take on this? Let us know!
