Here’s why Aamir Khan has taxi drivers to thank for his stardom!

Aamir Khan, who recently completed 30 glorious years in Bollywood after debuting with Qayamat se Qayamat Tak, attended a special screening of his debut film, which also saw the presence of the fans of the cult classic and those who were a part of this hugely successful project in question.

Interestingly, a handful of our taxi drivers were also a part of the envious guest list. Wondering why? Well, if it wasn’t for the people who belonged to the cab driving business back then, we probably wouldn’t have had an Aamir Khan entertaining us for over 30 years now.

It so happened that Aamir sent out invitations to taxi drivers to be a part of the screening, as back then, they proved to be a pivotal part of his debut.

It was interesting to note that 30 years down the line, Aamir still remembers the special gesture by them. The actor not just invited the Taxi drivers but also went the extra mile to have an informal chat with them, clicked pictures and even signed autographs, which is still a charming thing to do till date.

We simply couldn’t get over this incredibly sweet gesture by Aamir Khan to greet the people from the commuting business and thank them for the support, something which had its own snowball effect that led to Khan rising to superstardom. .

The screening was also attended by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Reena Dutta, son Junaid, director Mansoor Khan, Dalip Tahil, Rajendranath Zutshi, singer Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan, music composers Anand-Milind to name a few.

It was a complete reunion affair for the entire cast of the film as they took the fans down the memory lane by sharing various instances and anecdotes pertaining to the film.
