Aamir’s ‘Dangal’ to have a grand launch

Based on the life of retired wrestler, Mahavir Phogat and his daughters, this biopic will see Aamir in a completely different role. While the first look and the poster is out, we are eagerly waiting for the trailer. However, there is a twist in Aamir’s strategy for the trailer launch. It’s a long set tradition that Aamir Khan releases his movies on Christmas and the trailer comes out on Diwali. But this time, Dangal’s trailer will be launched before Diwali.

A source close to the project said “Aamir showed the film to his close friends to know their reaction and their positive response promoted him to launch the trailer few days before it hits the screen with ADHM and Shivaay. He feels that if his trailer is seen with these movies it will get diluted. While he will grab eye balls with its theatrical release, Aamir wants more. The trailer will first be launched at a grand event, social media websites and then with ADHM and Shivaay.” Aamir likes to release his trailer with the festival of lights as it has been lucky for him. Now that he is changing his plan, will it backfire? Only time will tell.
