5 Gerard Butler Movies One Should Not Miss!

The man has been acting since 1997. Okay, you may not know him entirely by his name but we are damn sure you know him as ‘King Leonidas’ from the 2006 movie, 300. Yup, it took Gerard Butler 9 whole years to prove his greatness in the Hollywood industry. And it goes without saying, Butler has received a lot of accolades for his outstanding performances in many action-based and thriller-based films.

Since we’ve been under his spell from quite some time now, especially after the launch of the trailer of his upcoming movie, Hunter Killer, we decided to list down our top 5 Gerard Butler movies you have to watch (even if you’ve viewed them more than once).

1. P.S. I Love You

This movie brought back the art of writing letters; love letters to be specific. As romantic comedies go, this movie deserves a watch because nothing is better than the feeling of falling in love.

2. The Ugly Truth

The one movie that constantly appears on Star Movies (if you’ve noticed, that is) is not Harry Potter but The Ugly Truth. Again, it’s about love but the chemistry between Heigl and Butler cannot be described in words.

3. Law Abiding Citizen

Like Hunter Killer, this 2009 movie is brutal and it’s beyond exciting. The thrill to know more about the ultimate truth will keep you wanting for more.

4. Dear Frankie

Be ready to get surprised by the love in the air. Sure, you have to buy into the idea of good ol’ fashioned love stories, but there ain’t no harm in it. The movie has an intense emotional core and surrounds around the weakness brought in by love.

5. The Phantom Of Opera

The movie is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart. By nature, musicals are not appreciated by the viewers but we personally feel that it evokes more emotions and portrays a wonderful message. This is quite unlike the usual movies Butler has acted in, which is why you should give this movie a try.
