Work takes a toll on Anil Kapoor’s health

Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan starring the evergreen actor Anil Kapoor was slated to release on 28th of July. The cast of the movie includes Arjun Kapoor, Ileana Dcruz and Athiya Shetty, where Arjun will be seen in a double role and uncle Anil will be playing the character of Kartar Singh, a Sikh don. The last time we watched Anil play the role of Don Majnu Bhai in Welcome was hilarious and we can’t help but expect this to up his game.

With all this excitement that the movie brought along, this news may sadden everyone. Anil has been diagnosed with knee bursitis, an inflammation caused between the tissues of bones.

A source close to Anil said, “He has been advised to take it easy for a month at least. This is really hard on Anil because he is, by nature, restless, fidgety and always on the move. This is the first time he has been confined to his home with strict orders from the doctors to keep from moving more than necessary. The bursitis is in his left leg and will take quite a while to heal.”

When enquired about the cause of this sudden problem, “It’s the wear and tear of our profession — standing on roads and odd places for hours on end causes a lot of physical strain and it’s bound to take its toll somewhere.”

Although Anil Kapoor has reportedly said that he will be dividing his time between the office and home doing work that doesn’t require physical actions like photo shoots etc. The actor is on physiotherapy and has been advised to not put pressure on his left heel.

Bursitis can cause permanent harm if not treated properly and thankfully Anil has taken a month’s break from shooting.

We hope Anil will be back with a bang and let his performance make us all say- ‘bole toh Jhakaas’
