Will Simmba be a bigger hit than Singham, Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore?

Simmba has opened to approx 40% occupancy in the morning shows in the country and trade pundits feel this one has the potential to open at a higher number than Padmaavat, this year’s second highest grosser after Sanju. However, will it be able to beat the collections of blockbusters like Singham, Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore? Well, it doesn’t seem tough!

The Ajay Devgn cop drama made over 96 crores at the box-office back in 2011. But given the massive scale this potboiler has released on, this figure should be achieved in a mere span of four days itself. Coming to the Salman Khan entertainer, it raked in over 142 crores in 2010 and became the biggest hit of that year and even Khan’s career until other films surpassed the collections. If the audiences’ response is as favorable as the critics’, the 150-crore mark shouldn’t be hard to achieve.

And coming to Akshay Kumar, the Prabhu Dheva directorial in 2012 made 134 crores, which, as mentioned above, shouldn’t be an uphill task for the makers if luck and viewers favor them. All in all, Ranveer Singh started 2018 with a BANG, he’ll end 2018 with a BANG!
