Will Deepika Padukone star opposite Aamir Khan in Mogul?

Aamir Khan, as we reported yesterday, is back on board to co-produce the late Gulshan Kumar biopic, Mogul. And if everything falls into place, he may star in the film too. It was also being reported that Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to play an integral character in the film, however, no confirmation regarding the same has been made.

But now, the bigger news is that Deepika Padukone might be seen opposite Aamir. A source close to the film stated, “Aamir Khan, who is co-producing the biopic of T-Series founder, Gulshan Kumar, titled ‘Mogul’, has approached Deepika Padukone to play the female lead in the film.”

If this happens, it’s truly going to be one of the most surprising yet much-awaited casting coups of next year. The makers plan to release the film by Christmas 2019. However, it’s still not clear who’ll direct the film after Subhash Kapoor’s exit.
