WHOA! Is Ajith Kumar going to step into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes?

Quite recently, we had reported that Viswasam star Ajith Kumar was contemplating upon fulfilling a particular promise that he had made to the late legend Sridevi. It was a promise of featuring in one of the films that will be bankrolled by the late icon’s husband, Boney Kapoor.

But now, if online reports are to go by, Ajith has finally picked a film that he would want to be a part of.

If reports are to be believed, Ajith has been finalized to play Amitabh Bachchan‘s part in the Tamil remake of PINK, a film in which we saw the Mahanayak of Bollywood as Deepak Sehgal. The film in question will reportedly be directed by Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. However, there’s no official confirmation on these developments as yet.

If reports are to be believed, Kumar had made the aforementioned promise to the late icon so that the Kapoors could be bailed out of the financial crisis that they are reportedly in. But, is there any truth to that story? We don’t really know for sure.
