It dates back all the way to 2006 when Rajkumar Hirani made Lage Raho Munna Bhai. “Post Lage Raho Munnabhai, my father saw Raju sir’s mother and fell flat on her feet, and told her, “Your son is a genius, and I hope he works with my son at some point.” Because my father is like that. When he likes something, he just overdoes it,” Ranbir stated.

Kapoor’s wish finally came true in 2018 when Hirani directed Ranbir in Sanju and gave him the biggest hit of his career. Not only that, it’s the highest grossing Hindi film of 2018 so far with more than 500 crores at the box-office. Now let’s see whether Brahmastra, Shamshera and Luv Ranjan’s film are able to re-create the same magic as Sanju or not!
