Vidya Balan reinvents herself once again for Tumhari Sulu!

The ever-dynamic and gutsy Vidya Balan is all set to play her new avatar in her next titled, Tumhari Sulu! Her character in the film is similar to Lage Raho Munna Bhai, where she plays a late night radio show jockey. The film is going to be narrated through the eyes of acclaimed ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni and is to be produced by T-Series.

“Middle-class housewives have been portrayed as hassled and troubled in Hindi films, but I’m a huge Hrishikesh Mukherjee fan and he showed that even middle-class families can be happy. I want the audience to walk out with a big smile on their face” says Triveni

When you’re playing the role of a radio jockey, the primary element that you need to emphasize on is your diction. Vidya Balan has been appointed a diction coach for the same.

“I need her speech to have a new flow. It’s not tapori Hindi at all but the kind one hears in the ladies’ compartment of a Mumbai local train.” – adds the ace ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni.

“Her look will be Indian but trendy. Her night show has a huge element of mischief. It’s a Vidya you haven’t seen before. We are currently auditioning a host of actors for the male lead.” said the filmmaker, giving an insight on what we can expect from the Kahaani franchise star.

Tumhari Sulu is said to go on floors in April 2017 as the team eyes December 1 for a release date.
