Amitabh Bachchan, who returned to television with the tenth season of his massively popular and successful game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, has overpowered Salman Khan and his Bigg Boss 12 on the TRP charts in the United Kingdom. The opening episode of Bigg Boss 12 was regarded to be a rather boring and bland affair. Barring Anup Jalota’s shocking love affair, none of the contestants succeeded in exciting or stimulating the viewers. And with Khan’s disinterest clearly visible, it only made the matters worse.

On the other hand, Big B still continues to attract a large number of viewers and KBC has turned out to be the No.1 fictional show in the U.K. The fan following of Bigg Boss may be comparatively higher in India but given a bleak beginning, it’a highly unlikely the show will garner the same momentum as the previous seasons. Meanwhile KBC should continue to do well, given how Bachchan strikes a chord both with the contestants as well as the viewers.
