Regarded as the Bad Boy of the industry but someone with a heart of gold, the actor is currently in the space of recluse, unperturbed and unfazed by blockbuster success or gargantuan failure.

1. The Not-So-Grand Debut
For all those who feel Bhai made his debut with Maine Pyar Kiya are sadly wrong. The actor’s first film was Biwi Ho To Aisi, which released on the 26th of August, 1988.
2. When Unemployment Crept In
His second film, Maine Pyar Kiya, made him an overnight sensation but little did Salman know this mammoth success would be followed by eight months of unemployment. Oops!
3. The Writer Salman
Salman initially wanted to be a writer, and even penned the scripts of his films like Chandra Mukhi, Baaghi and Veer.
4. The Bored Salman
Khan assisted filmmaker Shashilal Nair on his film Falak in 1988, starring Jackie Shroff in the lead, but quit the project midway because he was….bored! Truly vintage Salman Khan.
5. The Biggest Blockbuster
Do you know the 1994 Hum Aapke Hain Koun is the biggest blockbuster of Hindi Cinema. It raked in over 72 crores back in the day and the current box-office number of the film stands at a staggering 722 crores, after adjusting the inflation, which happens to be more than that of Sholay.

17. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai- These were the two words Ali used when quipped about the reason behind the relationship going kaput. Salman was head-over-heels in love with the Miss World 1994 and was extremely protective about the liaison. However, protectiveness turned into possessiveness and love became obsession. Bhai was frequently violent and physically abusive and even stormed on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chalte Chalte which was initially offered to Rai. Not being able to take the brat anymore, Rai called off the relationship with Khan in 2002 and termed it as a nightmare.

22. Fight with Raveena Tandon
Don’t worry; it wasn’t a rivalry or fallout but quite a childish one. During an ad shoot, Salman spat the chewing gum in his mouth on Tandon’s face. Furious, she refused to shoot until she got the opportunity to do the same. Guess what? Bhai was generous enough to allow her to do it. Sweet!
23. Fatwas against Salman
Two fatwas were released against the actor, one was regarding his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds and the other related to his presence at the Ganpati Celebrations. However, it’s not known what happened to them.
