Taapsee Pannu talks about Akshay Kumar’s cameo in ‘Naam Shabana’

Naam Shabana’ is a prequel to the star’s 2015 film, Baby, in which she had a small role. The actress is super excited about sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar again.

Bagging a meatier role than Akshay, she said, “I like this role reversal. It’s amazing that a superstar like him decided to back the film. He could have refused to do a cameo given the work he is doing, but he supported the project. Though he has a small role, he is completely involved. He called me up during my prep and complimented me when the first poster released. He is honest with feedback.”

She further spoke up about doing films in different genres, “It’s an interesting phase in my career. I am glad all my films belong to different genres. Judwaa 2 comes as a refreshing change after two intense films. I have grown up watching the original film and can’t wait to show my latkas and jhatkas to Tan Tana Tan and Oonchi Hai Building.”
