Sushant Singh Rajput to star in the remake of The Fault In Our Stars

Though Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Raabta failed miserably at the box office, the actor is surely getting some good projects. Sushant is currently shooting for Kedarnath along with Sara Ali Khan, he is also lined up with Chanda Mama Door Ke and Drive. To add on to the list the actor has now been finalized to play the lead in the official Hindi remake of The Fault in Our Stars.

Yes, Sushant will be seen stepping into the shoes of Ansel Elgort in the remake. Confirming the same Mukesh Chabbra the director of the film said “Yes, I am on board for The Fault in Our Stars remake. I’m working on the script at the moment. Sushant is the leading man and we are still in the process of casting the heroine.”

A close source to the film revealed “Mukesh was the one who introduced Sushant to Abhishek Kapoor for Kai Po Che! He had always wanted to work with him and felt he would be perfect for this film. He is currently on the lookout for his leading lady. Though inspired by the Hollywood film, the script will be adapted to Indian sensibilities.”

The film will be produced by Fox Studios and will begin shooting from next year. With Sushant Singh Rajput on board, we wonder who will be the female lead in the film.
