Sunil Grover supports Sonu Nigam! But, something isn’t adding up…
Ever since Sonu Nigam went about expressing his frustrations of early morning prayers over a loudspeaker from a nearby Mosque on Twitter, Twitterati and media have slammed the artist left, right and center in the past 72 hours.
Interestingly, NO ONE from the Indian entertainment industry came out in support of the ace musician. But at last, ace comedian Sunil Grover came out in support of the talented singer via a tweet which you will find below:
I know @sonunigam sir he won’t hurt anyone’s religious sentiments ever. He respects all.Lets not misinterpret n give it a religious tinge.

But, something clearly doesn’t add up out here.
Sonu Nigam has lived in his dream home Namah for a little above a decade now. How is it that the sound of an early morning prayer from a religious place, which is approximately 300 meters from his residence, has started bothering him NOW?
In a recent press conference which took place less than an hour ago at his dream humble abode, he stated the following “I am a secular person. It was not about Azaan, it was about the loud sound. Playing loud sound on a speaker is Gundagardi for me,”
So, Mr. Nigam, if according to you, playing loud sound on a speaker is “Gundagardi”, what does that make you? Given that speakers during your late night concerts are firing on all cylinders for you from the moment you take up the mic. And what about the people who are trying to sleep around your venue while you are singing (with the help of loudspeakers, of course) for thousands of people?
We are curious to see how this episode plays out in the near future.
