Sonu Nigam sparkles another controversy, clarifies his stance!

It seems like Sonu Nigam has been stirring controversies back to back. Earlier, he went bald in response to a Maulavi’s challenge following the Azaan controversy. Now, the versatile singer has again made a controversial comment in which he said that he wished he were from Pakistan because then at least, he would get singing offers from India. He also stated how Indian singers have to pay 40 to 50% of their earnings from the concerts to the music companies, whereas Pakistani singers are not forced to do that.

Well, on receiving a huge backlash from the netizens, the singer has come up with a clarification on his comment. He released a statement today which said, “Sometimes in an attempt to make headlines catchy and sensational, some journalists miss the real content. Yesterday’s Aajtak Summit happened so amazing, and look what they have reduced it to… My point about being better off being born in Pakistan was about the music companies in India asking Indian singers to pay 40-50% of their concerts remunerations to them, and only then they’ll work with those artistes… But they don’t ask the same from the singers from abroad, namely Pakistan..!”

He thus concluded by saying, “This was the important point I made… and these guys…! Changed it to “‘I would have been better off born in Pakistan I’d have work come my way.” What do I say? PATHETIC.”

Well, what you think about Sonu’s comment!
