Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety: Will Kartik Aaryan BEAT Akshay Kumar?
Kartik Aaryan’s latest release, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, has quite unexpectedly taken the Indian box office by storm. The man, who was last seen before this in a fairly forgettable Guest Iin London, has given us more than enough reasons to forgive him for the last one.
Just a short while back, during a media interaction with regards to his last film, Guest Iin London, we remember Kartik saying that he idolizes Pad Man Akshay Kumar and would love to essay him in his biopic, should one ever be made. Little we would have thought that shortly after him saying those words, he will come so eerily close to his idol at the ticket windows.
Yes, you read that right! SKTKS closed the second week with a staggering total of 29.7 crores in their kitty, while the R.Balki-Directed Akshay Kumar-starrer film, Pad Man, showed a collection of 13.78 crores during that phase of its run. Audiences everywhere are loving Kartik Aaryan in his chocolate boy avatar and can’t seem to get enough of the film.
While Akshay Kumar’s social drama ended its run on a total of 78.95 crores, Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha aren’t that far behind.

The film has already surpassed the Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh-starrer ‘Welcome to New York’ and Anushka Sharma’s ‘Pari’ since its release.
But, can this Luv Ranjan directorial take over the R. Balki one today? We will know soon.
