Sidharth Malhotra: I am just intrigued that I am now so important!
Watch how our heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra is still dealing with the paparazzi culture of B-Town!
From an average Joe from Delhi to the heartthrob of the nation, the Student Of The Year Actor Sidharth Malhotra has surely come a long way in his nearly half a decade old career span. Although being caught by the paparazzi is a part and parcel of a celebrity’s life(and at times a must), our Delhi boy Sidharth is still fascinated about the need of being clicked almost everywhere he is spotted! Here’s what he has to say:
“I don’t feel it’s annoying. I keep struggling between being a regular Delhi boy, who has grown up going to gyms, coffee shops, and movies and come out as average Joe and not made a big deal about it and this life of an actor. I am still used to being treated like that because I have spent a majority of my life being a normal person. So now, I am surprised when people think that it’s a big deal that I am spotted taking a flight or outside the gym.”
To this, the 32-year-old further adds “I don’t understand airport looks. Now they want to click me when I am sweating also. It is amazing because it is such a shift for me because of my upbringing. I am definitely at the stage where I am surprised. I am not negative or positive about it. I am just intrigued that I am now so important.”
Sidharth’s surprise is understandable. Once upon a time you’re an average Joe, and walking out of Gyms and Coffee Shops did not make a difference to anyone. And then all of a sudden, Boom! You become an overnight sensation and wherever you’re spotted, it becomes a helluva deal for all.
Given that our Sid is comparatively a baby as compared to those who have reigned over the box office for decades, we think that he will grow into it eventually and will expect to be shot every time he makes a public appearence.
The paparazzi is nothing but an outcome of your hard work, and it’s growing hunger for more of Sidharth Malhotra simply is a sign that your efforts are being appreciated. All the best for Reload and Ittefaq, Sid. Keep it up!
