SHOCKING! Aditi Rao Hydari opens up about facing the Casting Couch
Casting couch is one of the most heinous acts carried out in all film industries including Bollywood. It’s the worst thing that remains behind the screen. Very few actresses were vocal about these issues, which needed to be tackled. The Padmaavat actress Aditi Rao Hydari, recently opened up about how she was brave enough to take a stand against the casting couch incident she faced.
In an interview, the actress was quoted saying, “I have also been in this situation, but I was able to stand up to it, make my decision and move away. I did lose work and I cried about it. I didn’t regret it but I cried about it because I felt so upset that this was true and this is how girls are treated. I was like, how dare someone speak to me like that.” The actress also added, “After the incident, I didn’t get work for about eight months, but I feel that that decision made me stronger in my intention about the kind of work I wanted to do.” The actress also spoke about the difficult times she faced in the same year as she lost her father.
