Sanjana Sanghi signed for The Fault In Our Stars remake
Remember Nargis Fakhri’s sister in Rockstar ? Or the actor who played the younger version of Saba Qamar in Hindi Medium? She was also the girl Choocha tries to get hooked with in Fukrey Returns. Her name is Sanjana Sanghi.
She has signed her first film as a lead opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in the remake of The Fault In Our Stars. The film will be directed by ace casting director, Mukesh Chhabra. Known for doing casting for such blockbusters like Bajirao Mastani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dangal and the unforgettable Gangs Of Wasseypur, he can be relied upon as far as the quality of the actors is concerned. Fun fact: He was the one who discovered Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant is busy with multiple projects currently. His next film, Drive, opposite Jacqueline Fernandez, is slated for a 7th September release. His next will be with Abhishek Chaubey, opposite Bhumi Pednekar, where he’ll enter into the space of gore and don the role of a bandit from Chambal. Plus, he has Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, which was recently embroiled in a controversy over KriArj backing out of the film. Wait, he’s also doing India’s first space-fantasy film called Chanda Mama Door Ke.
Mukesh Chhabra’s film is expected to roll in the second half of the year and slated for release in the second half of 2019. Although, given the unpredictable dynamics of filmmaking, it shall be intriguing to see how Sushant manages multiple films simultaneously and completes them within the planned schedules.
And yes, Sanjana Sanghi could be the next big thing in tinsel town.
