‘Runningshaadi.com’ gets a last minute name change

Days before the release of the film ‘Runningshaadi.com’ the makers of the film decided to change the name of the film to Runningshaadi. Co-producer Shoojit Sircar said, “There is no change in the title as such. We just have to drop the “.com”

The buzz is that the makers were pressurized by a leading matrimonial site for copyright infringement over the title of the film. A source close to the film said, “Co-producers Shoojit Sircar and Vikram Malhotra would’ve fought it out. But there was no time. They didn’t want to delay the release.”

While the film’s release on Friday remains unaffected, the technical team of the film worked over the weekend to remove all the references of ‘.com’ from the film’s title.
