REVEALED: Why Alia or Shraddha will NOT star in Simmba!

Since the very day Rohit Shetty announced his first-ever full-fledged film collaboration with Ranveer Singh for his upcoming crooked cop entertainer, Simmba, it’s almost needless to say that speculations regarding the leading lady of the film have been rife.

Just a while back, reports had begun surfacing that either Gully Girl Alia Bhatt or Shraddha Kapoor could very well be in the race of bagging the part of the female lead, but guess none of them might make it to Simmba’s cast list.

Wondering why? Well, reportedly, when Bhatt Jr. was approached to do her second feature film with Singh, she allegedly took time to think over it. As far as Shraddha is concerned, well, she has asked for a full script narration. We honestly don’t know as to what is the problem with that, but that’s why she is apparently not being approached again.

Instead, two new contenders are what Shetty has in mind for the female lead.

A source close to the unit revealed, “Rohit Shetty’s film will mount the floors soon after Gully Boy and will release this year. Now, both Sara (Ali Khan) and Janhvi (Kapoor) will try their best to bag a role for Simmba. Janhvi was always an option for the makers. What will be interesting is if Sara bags the role. Then both these actresses shall then vie for the best newcomer award next year,”
