Ranveer Singh miffed with SLB!

Ranveer Singh is reportedly miffed at Sanjay Leela Bhansali for favouring Shahid Kapoor for the casting of their next magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. Shahid will be essaying the role of Deepika Padukone’s husband in the film and Ranveer will be portraying the role of her obsessive lover Alauddin Khilji. Shahid’s recent visit to SLB’s residence just indicates that his preparations are in full swing.

Earlier it was reported that Deepika was not keen to have a lesser known actor cast opposite her, in fact she had rejected ‘Masaan’ and ‘Raman Raghav’ famed actor Vicky Kaushal from the project. After the actresses demands the makers were going through a casting dilemma as no big name wanted to play second fiddle to Ranveer. Shahid was open to the role and came on board after he was assured by Bhansali that his role was meaty and that he had enough screen time.

Over the past few days, both Ranveer and Shahid have been spotted leaving the director’s residence, each on separate occasions. Looks like Bhansali is making sure that both his actor’s feel secure by giving both equal time and attention. We can only wonder if he had such a tough time dealing with two leading ladies in his last release ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
